Cafe of the Year

It gives us enormous pleasure to announce that we have been voted Eastwood and Kimberley Advertiser's Cafe of the Year 2014.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us. This achievement gives our trainees, staff and volunteers a great sense of pride and it would not have been possible without you. Thank you.

Update : Here's a link to the Eastwood Advertiser article.

Rumbletums is 3 years old !

Rumbletums is 3 years old. When we opened on 2nd July 2011, it was for only three days a week and we had 15 volunteers, 5 trainees and no staff!

We are now open five days a week, we have four full-time staff, 22 volunteers and 20 trainees. A vision made reality through a lot of sweat, a few tears and just a little blood .... and through focussing on our young people's ability as much as their disability. Far too many people have shared our vision and supported us for them all to be named here.

Hopefully, they will all know who they are and will share the pride we all feel in achieving everything that we have in those three years.

Here's a BIG birthday thankyou to you all.

The Great Notts Bike Ride

Richard and Dawn Pillar (two of our trustees) will be doing the Great Notts Bike Ride on 22 June in aid of Rumbletums. They are doing the 50 mile route (the 100 mile route was a little too far). A report and maybe some photos will be forthcoming after the event but in the meantime if you would like to support us and donate then please go to our JustGiving page.

Update : The ride was completed successfully without any problems - apart from the inevitably sore legs. Heres a photo of the finish. Thanks to all who have donated so far.

The JustGiving webpage is now closed but if you would like to make a donation then you can send these directly to the cafe.
